The Path Team was honored by the St. Louis City Health Department for their work and collaboration with various HIV/Aid services in St. Louis. The award was made on World Aids Day December 1, 2009 -
Earlier in the day a luncheon was held for the clients of the Path and River Jordan team. The program was created and executed by the clients. The program included sharing of personal experience in working with C/A, a family member of a client speaking of the challenges that families face when dealing with HIV , an award honoring the work of Dawn Sherrod in this program and finally a very moving rendition of "I Turn to You" by one of the clients. Lunch ,which was underwritten by a donations, was then held .

It used to be that mental health providers would try to stabilize you through re-covery. But with CA's pro-covery approach, they teach you how to move forward, to live and have a life!"
