Pathways to Change

Our PATH team works with clients who are HIV+ and have co-occurring mental illness or substance abuse problems.  PATH receives federal funds authorized under Ryan White legislation to provide services to those who are HIV+, and PATH is the only provider in Missouri utilizing the ACT philosophy with its clients.

PATH team members engage in:

  • cognitive behavioral therapy
  • substance abuse counseling
  • HIV wellness interventions
  • sexual risk reduction
  • healthcare coordination
  • practical psychosocial assistance.

The goal of our PATH team is to advance the health of those served by improving mental health, decreasing substance abuse, and improving access to overall healthcare.

In order to reach our clients, we have developed collaborative partnerships with the St. Louis City Department of Health, Ryan White Case Management, St. Louis University's New Hope Clinic, Washington University Infectious Diseases Clinic, and the St. Louis University Department of Psychiatry.
